Dave-iD also contributed works to two books: "judasjesus" by Rolf Vassarelli and "The light and the dark" by Caroline Von B.

In 1995 Dave-iD returned to the stage with a series of solo shows in Ireland, he began writing new songs with a variety of Irish musicians. In early 1996 Dave-iD released his first solo album "Smegma 'Structions Don't Rhyme", which was released through the German independent label Scout Records. Dave-iD also performed several one off shows in Germany and France the same year.

In 1999 Dave-iD was commissioned by Japanese composer Toshiyuki Hiraoka to write words and melodys to all 20 tracks for his album "bushy Luxuries - (The Whole Story)" which was recorded over several months in "The Works Studio" Dublin, 'Bubble Studios', Japan and Mixed in New York. This album was released in the summer of 2000 on Hard Disk Industry Records, Japan. Dave-iD has also contributed tracks to a number of compilation projects.

However after the collapse of Scout Records Dave-iD wrote and recorded a mind blowing follow-up solo album, using a number of highly respected Irish musicians. The album is a collection of his most original songs (yet) and the best cover of 'Trust in me' that has so far been recorded!!
